MRJ’S Reform On Campus Grant Program
|
|
"We wish to
thank MRJ for sponsoring our program which was a resounding success. Our
objective was to unite the Jewish community in a pro-active celebration of
Jerusalem and Judaism; to create a festival that would attract all of the
Jewish students on campus and offer them an atmosphere where they could have
fun while learning a great deal about our unique heritage, religion, culture
and ethnicity..." - student spokesman for University of Florida,
Gainesville, recipient of MRJ-ROC grant.

MRJ's Reform on Campus Program (ROC), provides direct
financial grants to groups that seek to strengthen Reform Judaism on college
campuses. MRJ's goal is to encourage the creation of quality programs of Jewish
content that will appeal to a broad range of Reform college students. ROC funds
make possible student initiated creative shabbats
and retreats, opportunities to bring noted speakers to campus, initiation of
social action programs, and make prayer books available. First initiated in
1994, over 500 campuses have been recipients of MRJ/ROC grants.
